The eFTI Regulation (Electronic Freight Transport Information) has come into force and will lay the groundwork for a complete transition away from paper documents by 2027. Beginning in 2025, new rules under the EU Mobility Package will come into effect, impacting driver working conditions and logistics operations:

- Mandatory license for vehicles weighing 2.5–3.5 tons.
- Tachograph inspections extended to cover the last 56 days.
- Implementation of Smart Tacho 2 to record border crossings and loading/unloading activities.
- Ban on taking regular weekly rest (over 45 hours) in the vehicle cabin.
- Option to extend daily driving time by 1–2 hours to return to base (must be documented).
- New tachographs must be installed by August 18, 2025, enabling remote monitoring of up to 25 parameters.
